Vuse Alto vs. Juul. Which is the best vape pod device?
It's that time again. Whenever a new pod device comes out, the first question everyone wants to be answered is simple. How does it compare to the king of pods, the JUUL? Well, this time around its no different. Vuse has enjoyed a respectable market share of the vape market for the last few years, and are looking to increase the popularity of its products. Vuse has often been criticized for their dated approach to devices, choosing to stick to old-fashioned clearomizers in an era of pods and refillable tanks. Well, the end of 2018 brought in a new product offering from the long-standing goliath. Introducing the Vuse Alto. The device that promises to deliver on everything the Juul does, but better, and on paper, it seems to accomplish that.
Right off the bat, the first thing you notice is the quality of the battery itself. I mean this thing feels fantastic. It has the right amount of heft to it and feels incredibly solid. The pods are no slouches either, with a large 1.8ml capacity, these things last for quite some time when compared to the Juul, or the hundreds of Juul compatible pods. From the outside, the device certainly looks impressive, and at the current price point is a fantastic fit if you're looking for a pod device. But, as will other brands, it all comes down to the Pod flavors. At the time of this writing, there are four available flavors. The menthol is a strong, and refreshing mix of tobacco and menthol flavors, that tastes very similar to traditional menthols. Rich tobacco offers a bit more of a kick, compared to the Original flavor Vuse offers, but both keep a consistent flavor and hit throughout the whole experience. The only fruit offering, Vuse Alto currently has on sale is Mixed Berry, and let start this off by saying, this flavor is awesome. It has just the right amount of sweetness, and a great balance of nicotine hit.
Overall, Vuse Alto delivers a superior device, that looks and feels sleek and high quality when compared to the Juul. Just like the previous Vuse lines, the pods don't leak and have incredibly balanced flavors and tastes. The biggest downside to the Vuse device is the same as it has always been, the availability of flavors. Alto Pods are not refillable, so you're forced to use the limited line of flavors they offer, which might work for some, for others may leave disappointed.
